Argentina performs complex greenhouse corn seed study
In Argentina, our expert field team are conducting a complex corn seed study under greenhouse conditions. This end to end study covers all necessary phases from planting, ongoing crop management through to harvest.
Three thousand corn lines have been distributed over five thousand square meters. Ensuring each plant self-pollinates is vital to the success of the study - each corn plant is bagged and therefore self-contained to assure there is no cross-pollination, receiving pollen from its own male flower. This complex study is conducted in protected environment conditions with temperature and light control, and the use of fertigation.
