EAS Group establishes third Field Station in Latin America
We are pleased to announce the addition of a third Field Station in Brazil.
Situated in Cambé, Paraná, an important agronomic state in south Brazil, the facility is located on more than 30 acres of arable land. Key crops in the region include soybean, corn, wheat, coffee, tomato, potato, and vegetables. A team of experienced agronomists conduct a variety of trials from the new facility including Ecotoxicology, Efficacy, GMO and Residue studies. The climate conditions are varied but mild, allowing trials to be conducted all year long, with higher precipitation from October to March.
In December 2019, the team at the new station hosted an Open Day and welcomed clients, partners and government agencies. This facility in Paraná is the third field station added to the portfolio during 2019 in LATAM and follows quickly after the previously reported station additions in Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
Marcos de Ferran, GM EAS LATAM, says of the expansion plans, “The Paraná field station inauguration completes the investment commitment made last year to put Eurofins in the list of the top CROs in Brazil, offering our local and global clients valuable service solutions"
