EAS Hercules Laboratory Service Expansion
The EAS Hercules Laboratory in California is expanding its service offerings to include analytical services for pollinator studies and will become the dedicated hub for Tier I pollinator analysis within the US. With complete instrumentation capabilities already in place, EAS Hercules will provide in-house analytical support to our EAS Alachua laboratory conducting Tier I studies for pollinator risk assessments.
In addition to expanding into pollinator analysis, EAS Hercules is providing increased support for pyrolysis testing. Utilizing 14C-radiolabeled compounds and a Total Recovery Smoking Apparatus, the laboratory quantitatively captures smoke particulate residues and gases for further analysis of 14C components to determine the pyrolytic degradation of the test substance within cigarettes containing tobacco exposed to specific pesticide applications.

The laboratory continues to provide a full suite of environmental fate and metabolism capabilities, including expanded offerings in OECD 301B testing, GLP archiving, and non-radiolabeled adsorption/desorption environmental fate studies.
