Expansion in LATAM: Spotlight on EAS facility in Mato Grosso
In October 2021, EAS LATAM established a field facility in Primavera do Leste, a city in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Mato Grosso is Brazil’s third biggest state with a total area of 903.357 km2!
This new field station is part of our strategic plan to fulfil customer requirements for studies in this particular region of Brazil. The area is very representative for grains and pulses, such as soybeans, sorghum and corn, as well as cotton and sunflower. In addition to the need for plant protection product trials, it is also an important region for seed companies wanting to test new traits.
The site has land upwards of 6 hectares and is managed by Jefferson Ferres, an experienced leader with more than 12 years’ working in field research. Prior to Mato Grasso, Jefferson managed EAS the field station in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais State.
Also working from the Mato Grosso field station is our recently hired Agronomic Engineer, Luan Rodrigues (picture) – a dedicated researcher with master’s degree and PhD in vegetal production and several years of experience in field research on GLP studies for plant protection product safety and registration.
The team have already seen a huge demand for a broad variety of studies at this new location and look forward to working with you!
