Expansion to breeding service in Europe
As part of our Field Strategy, we are committed to investment in breeding services and have opened our first European field facility dedicated entirely to variety testing in Garlin, South-West France. So far in 2018, we have managed about 30,000 plots and lines for phenotyping, nursery and pathology evaluation. In Germany, we acquired Agrartest GmBH which brings additional breeding capacity.
This development strengthens our offer to breeders in Europe where our +50 field teams have been conducting varietal trials alongside crop protection trials for several years. We also manage breeding platforms in LATAM & North America, including GM work. In Australia we are already a major provider of services to breeders, managing more than 30,000 plots per year including wheat, barley, oats, pulses, canola, sorghum, cotton, soybean, mungbeans, etc.
We continue to look at opportunities to develop our network of breeding field stations, with dedicated teams and equipment to deliver excellent quality and efficiency.
