Grain Harvest time in Australia
Grain harvest in Australia is underway! Our harvest season commenced at the start of November in Queensland. Our team have been busy working at sites all across the country for the past few weeks.
Fortunately, the bulk of our trials were harvested early before the start of a very wet spring for Queensland and New South Wales. After many years of drought, the rain has been welcomed in our key growing regions and will provide an excellent start to the summer cropping season.
Once our harvesting is completed our field team will move into planting summer crops in late December through to February 2022. Sorghum, mungbeans, soybeans and maize are among some of the many crops that will be planted for plant breeding evaluation trials, residue trials and for seed bulk up.
