Skin repellent studies; EAS Thailand

Considering the increasing issues with tropical diseases propagated by mosquitos (dengue fever, malaria, etc) there is a general feeling that the global population needs access to new repellents, particularly if those are natural products.

In response, EAS Thailand has established the capability to test skin repellent products against mosquitoes.  This is a great opportunity for clients who are interested in the development of skin repellents to protect humans; especially, natural or organic products.  The mosquitos used in the studies are lab reared and are disease free.

Stringent laws in the US and Europe mean these tests are problematic to conduct locally – in Thailand, we can offer the study based on WHO guidelines. The EAS team in Thailand have undergone extensive training and completed several trials so far.  We can offer laboratory tests against Aedes, Culex and Anopheles mosquitoes.
