Security requirements for bunk beds
On 12th February 2020, the French authorities published the notice No 130 relating to the application of Decree No. 95-949 of August 25, 1995 in order to prevent risks resulting from the use of bunk beds in domestic or collective spaces.
The decree n° 95-949 of 25 August 1995 defines the security requirements for bunk beds for use in domestic places or communal spaces.
This notice contains, in appendix, the list of references of the standards mentioned in article 3 of decree n° 95-949 of 25 August 1995.

This notice cancels and replaces the notice with the same objective published in the Official Journal of the French Republic of September 19, 2015. It will be updated if the content of its appendix changes.
Products conforming to standards whose references were published in the Official Journal of the French Republic by the notice of September 19, 2015 can be placed on the market within one year from the publication of this notice and marketed up to 'while stocks last.
Revising the Interim Enforcement Policy for mattresses and mattress pads subject to 16 CFR part 1632
On the 13th march 2020, the Consumer Product Safety Commission opened a public consultation on proposed extension to the approval of information specific to manufacturers and importers of mattresses and mattress pads. This regulation establishes testing and recordkeeping requirements for manufacturers and importers subject to Commission standards. The office of the secretary must receive comments in response to the public consultation no later than May 12, 2020.

- US: 16 CFR Part 1632 - Standard for the flammability of mattresses and mattress pads (FF 4-72, amended)
According to the 2020 Interim Enforcement Policy for Mattresses and Mattress Pads Subject to 16 CFR Part 1632, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) recently procured a new SRM cigarette, SRM 1196a, which is now directly available for purchase from NIST
This updated policy will become effective on June 8, 2020 and remain in effect until further notice

New standard for Barbecue grill brushes
On 19th December 2019, CSA group published the first edition of CSA Z630, Barbecue grill brushes.
This standard outlines requirements in relation to the performance, testing, and marking of hand-held barbecue grill brushes and replacement heads with metal bristles for consumer use, intended to clean cooking surfaces of barbecue grills.
Public Consultation on Parabens
On 14th March 2020, the draft screening assessment for Parabens group was published in Canada Gazette, Part I, and will be open for public comment for 60 days, until May 13, 2020. The final screening assessment and risk management approach will take into consideration any comments and new evidence received during the consultation period.

It specifies the list of unsafe products and goods under the management and responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communications, which is in line with the Law on quality of products and goods.
