Eurofins Product Testing Italy IECEx, ATEX & HazLoc Laboratory Expansion

As part of the expansion of the Eurofins E&E’s Hazardous Location testing and certification capabilities, Eurofins Product Testing Italy is proud to announce the opening of its new outdoor test site

This new site is located a few kilometres from the historic Ex laboratory already in place at its Turin headquarters. Built using state-of-the-art equipment, customers can test their products in total safety and full compliance with the relevant standards.

These new facilities allow Eurofins Product Testing Italy to test and certify all types of Equipment and Components for the main types of protection according to IEC Standards, as well as Safety Devices and Protective Systems according to the IECEx (ExCB and ExTL), ATEX (NB n. 0477) schemes and Hazardous Location Certification scheme for the United States and Canada through the MET NRTL Mark issued by Eurofins E&E North America.

In addition to enhancing the testing capabilities on Ex products that it has been testing and verifying for years, this new investment from Eurofins Product Testing Italy has also increased in-house testing capabilities for:

• large explosion-proof equipment (e.g. flameproof motors and enclosures)
• protective systems (e.g. venting panels, flame arresters, flap valves, etc.)

Finally, thanks to the collaboration with the colleagues of Eurofins E&E CML Ltd., Eurofins Product Testing Italy can also support its Clients in achieving the Ex certification for the United Kingdom market (UKCA Mark).
