Eurofins Textile Testing Spain take the lead within children footwear industry

On 20th & 27th February, Eurofins Textile Testing Spain successfully hosted the very first seminar in Spain regards new Spanish standard UNE 59300 for Children Footwear Safety. The new regulation will enter in force in September 2018 and will affect baby & children footwear to be sold in Spain.

Main players in the footwear industry, retail and Spain’s customs surveillance authorities learned how new regulation will affect their products from our technical experts Enrique Rivas and Maria Jesús Martínez.

Chemical safety was an important topic included on this seminar with special highlight on REACH regulation and its effects when it comes to footwear.

The workshop ended by a laboratory tour throughout the facilities with a focus on mechanical testing capacities directly related to quality and safety performance.
