ISO 16000-28 odour testing for Germany – new service now available

Sidebar Image

German authorities promote testing of odour emissions along with VOC emissions chamber tests. Testing methodology is based on ISO 16000-28 and draft VDI 4302-1. A pilot study for validating that test method has started and is funded by some German industries. AgBB and Blue Angel plan to include odour testing in their requirements.

Industry feels strong concern regarding reliability and international reproducibility of such odour testing. Eurofins Product Testing A/S shares these concerns. But market requires such testing already now, even though no pass/fail criteria have been established in Germany so far. This is the reason why Eurofins Product Testing A/S established such odour testing now as new service.

Eurofins Product Testing A/S will use its long-lasting experience with other odour testing protocols (for GUT, M1, DICL) and provides best possible odour testing at competitive prices. For details and contacts, please see www.eurofins.com/odour.

The new odour tests will be presented at the next VOC testing seminar organized by Eurofins on 28th May 2013 at Copenhagen airport. All presentations will be in English.
