Community Health Coalition Inc. (USA)

Since 1989, Community Health Coalition Inc., has focused its efforts on health equality and eliminating health disparities in Durham County, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas. Community Health Coalition’s work is based on the core belief that it is the responsibility of the healthcare system to welcome, educate, and treat their entire community, including disadvantaged and under-served populations.

In 2020/2021, the Eurofins Foundation provided a capacity-building grant to the Community Health Coalition (CHC) and its initiatives, including culturally sensitive health education and COVID-19 prevention.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, CHC helped over 3,000 community residents, who received fresh vegetables, canned goods, and meals. They also expanded their Telehealth Outreach Services to expand access to care and provide health screenings and education to the community.
