Understanding Food Contact Materials Regulations and Compliance

Assembling safety and quality in all toys and hardgoods

Whether they are eating a pre-made sandwich or heating up leftovers, it’s important that consumers can trust the items that come into contact with the food they eat. In fact, the safety of food contact materials (FCM) is just as crucial as the safety of the food itself.

This is because hazardous contaminants can migrate from food containers, tableware or utensils into food, posing a risk to consumer health. Due to this, there are stringent FCM safety standards and regulations worldwide.

If you are a food contact materials manufacturer, seller of food contact materials, or simply hope to understand more about FCM compliance and regulations, don’t miss this one-hour webinar. Our subject matter expert Dr Charles Wong will provide a clearer picture of FCM regulations, covering:

  • The background of FCM regulations
  • FCM regulations in the EU and the US, including Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) CFR Title 21
  • FCM regulations overview and updates
  • How FCM testing can help ensure compliance
